Question: Who pays me and when?
Answer: We do. We make payments into a bank account of your choice once we have a client-approved timesheet. We normally process payments into your account on the Friday of the week following the week that you have worked.
Question: Why is it better to become a franchisee? I’m already self-employed.
Answer: Becoming a franchisee means that you are a recognised business owner, in full control and supervising your own business. You remain in control of who you work for, when and how you work without ever being seen as an employee. This makes you more attractive to clients.
Question: Do I have to send out my own invoices?
Answer: No. We do this on your behalf and also do the credit control for you, ensuring that you get paid as soon as possible.
Question: What happens if the client doesn’t pay the invoice?
Answer: We work on your behalf to ensure timesheets are approved as soon as the work is completed. If a client queries a timesheet, we will investigate the situation in order to get it resolved as quickly as possible. You will be informed at every stage of the process, so you will always know what’s going on with any payment that’s due.
Question: What if I can’t find the work I want to do on the platform?
Answer: We work with you to ensure that your online profile will be visible and effective.
Question: Who sees my online profile?
Answer: Your online profile is visible to any client that posts opportunities on the platform and, of course, to the admin team at Choices Driven. Potential clients who are browsing the platform but who have yet to join will also see an overview of your profile.
Question: What happens if I need to cancel some work?
Answer: The online internal messaging system allows you to make contact with your clients at any time, night or day, from any device i.e. smartphone, tablet or PC.
Question: How will I know what opportunities are available for me?
Answer: The platform shows all available opportunities and you can search on specific criteria. It also notifies you of any new opportunities that apply to you.
Question: Can Choices Driven help me with my year end accounts?
Answer: Yes, we can help you as we can provide you with all the records for any work undertaken as a franchisee. We can also recommend accountancy services at a vastly reduced cost.
Question: Who do I pay?
Answer: Choices Driven are a collection agent for all our franchisees so you only make one payment per week to us regardless of how many franchisees you may use. We then make the individual payments to the franchisees.
Question: Why is it better to use franchisees, we already use self-employed contractors?
Answer: Franchisees are recognised business owners in their own right, in full control and supervising their own businesses. They are in control of who they work for, when and how they work without ever being seen as an employee. This removes any ambiguity of employment status.
Question: Who invoices me?
Answer: We do – on behalf of the franchisees. This means that you will receive individual invoices, however, we also send an Invoice Summary. This simple document lists all of the relevant information from the individual invoices and is easy to read and reconcile.
Question: What happens if I have a query on the invoice?
Answer: This shouldn’t happen as invoices are only raised once you have approved a timesheet, however, our credit control and accounting team are always happy to help with any queries you may have.
Question: What if I can’t find the franchisees I need on the platform?
Answer: We work with you to ensure that your opportunities are giving all of the right information to be visible and effective.
Question: Who sees my opportunities?
Answer: Your opportunities are visible to all Choices Driven franchisees, any potential franchisee browsing the platform and, of course, the admin team at Choices Driven. All franchisees that meet your criteria for an opportunity are also notified when you post anything new.
Question: What happens if I need to cancel an opportunity?
Answer: The online internal messaging system allows you make contact with any franchisee booked on your opportunities at any time, night or day, from any device i.e. smartphone, tablet or PC.
Question: What happens if the franchisee I have booked doesn’t turn up?
Answer: In an ideal world we would love to say that would never happen! In reality, if a franchisee doesn’t turn up and they haven’t let you know through the messaging system, we will investigate as our quality and brand are vital to us. For you, our platform works equally well for immediate bookings, and because it’s a live system, as soon as you repost the opportunity, all suitable available franchisees will be notified.
Question: I like to keep using the same franchisees. They know our operation and fit well with us. Can I do this?
Answer: Sure! In fact, this is one of the key benefits of Choices Driven. If you like a franchisee, you can use them as much or as little as you like, without falling foul of legislation.
Question: Who validates the qualifications and experience of the franchisees?
Answer: When a new franchisee joins Choices Driven we request wherever possible electronic proof of all relevant qualification, licences and certification for the type of contracts they are looking for. We also make sure that they are the right calibre for Choices Driven and their clients I.E professional, well presented and reliable.
Question: Do we need to do our own validation of the franchisees?
Answer: All clients will need to undertake their own due diligence to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the franchisee as per the Terms and Conditions of Service. The Client is responsible for obtaining work permits and/or such other permission to work as may be required, for the arrangement of medical examinations and/or investigations into the medical history of any franchisee, and satisfying any medical and other requirements, qualifications or permission required by law of the country in which the franchisee is engaged to work.
